Hi fellow pirates, as you can see, I’m relatively new to the this, so some context is suitable.
I come from Pirati.io, where I’ve spent about a year, and am just now approaching the European Pirate Party directly. Given this, and that I have no prior political activity whatsoever, I understand that I still have to start somewhere to grow as a person in the Party, and that’s why I decided to accept my nomination for the Code of Conduct Council, when it was proposed to me.
The reason why I’m in this in the first place is because my personal interests and morals are well shared with the general pirate ones. In particular, due to my personal interest for information technology I have since I was little, I have a political interest in things such as freedom of information, privacy, and digital rights more generally.
While the best of my abilities is probably with computers, I also like writing (blogging), and I consider myself pretty reflexive when it comes to matters of human communication. In this ability to handle interpersonal communication in a way that’s often both objective and empathetic to any side involved, I see myself as having potential to work for the Code of Conduct Council as defined by its Manifesto.
I wish to thank once again those who have given me this big opportunity, in which I hope to be able to make a difference, and I welcome anyone with any more questions to come forward!
