There is an issue/problem/conflict regarding timeframes between Article 14(7), fourth sentence: “The Board will prepare the meetings and invite all members by email at least one month before the date of the Council meeting.”
and Article 17(3): “All nominations shall be made at least one month prior to the meeting at which the election takes place.”
Ordinary members cannot deliberate on proposing candidates within such a timeframe.
We have two options:
- to extend the notice period for convening the Council to two months (Only in the event of an election to the Board),
- or to reduce the timeframe for appointing members of the PPEU Executive Committee (Board) to 15 days.
