We also recognize the importance of the digital transition of European regions. The emphasis should be on promoting digital innovation in regional development. We therefore support connectivity projects, which provide access to digital infrastructure, such as high-speed internet and telecommunication networks, across all regions.Those policies should be promoted in activities designed for specific types of regions, in which the EU should intensively cooperate with member states. Strong urban agenda should help European cities and metropolitan regions to become greener and smarter, as well as to strengthen housing capacities and quality of urban life. Special attention should be paid to transnational coordination of policies focused on development of rural areas.
