Volunteers needed!

The European Pirates are currently restructuring its activities, with the aim to build a volunteers-led organisation with a clear structure, under the management of the Secretary General. Our hope is that this will make it easier to get involved in the organisation, and that it will lead to an active community of volunteers across Europe. To this aim we are currently looking for volunteers for the positions listed below. The positions are all for a duration until March 2026, with the possibility to be extended annually. Team leaders are expected to dedicate up to 10 hours a week to their role, and all other volunteers are expected to dedicate 3-5 hours. A more detailed description of the different roles will be added shortly.

How to apply: send an email introducing yourself and say which role(s) you apply for to secretarygeneral@european-pirateparty.eu. Please attach a CV of maximum 2 pages. If you want to volunteer, but are unsure of what role you would be suited for, feel free to send an email to express a general interest in supporting the organisation, with an explanation of your interests/qualifications along with the CV. There is always room to tailor a role baed on your skills and capacities.

Hi,
My name is Ruben de Groot, I’ve been a member of PPNL since 2014, contributing to the IT team for about 8 years. Maintaining the PPNL server infrastructure (mail, web, ldap and generic OS). I’ve also programmed some bots that connect various chat channels (irc, telegram, signal, matrix, mattermost).
PPNL uses the mattermost.european-pirateparty.eu server quite a bit and I would like to help in the maintenance of that and other servers.
Kind regards, Ruben
