To ensure that our FTAs are fair, we will prioritize enforcing environmental and labor standards, including the Paris Agreement on climate change and the International Labor Organization’s fundamental conventions. We will also work towards establishing mechanisms for resolving disputes that arise from our trade agreements, and ensuring that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can benefit from the new opportunities created by our FTAs.
We believe that FTAs should also build cohesive economic areas that promote regional integration and development. We will prioritize negotiating FTAs that promote sustainable economic growth, support the development of local industries, and ensure that the benefits of trade are shared across all members of society. By doing so, we aim to create a more resilient and prosperous economy for all.
