Please find below the Board’s remarks:
The proposal is to prepare the organisation to become a European Political Party. We believe it would be too early to implement, and impose a disproportionate burden on the members. Furthermore, most aspects (transparency, internal democracy) are already covered in the current statutes.
Restricting membership to organisations formally structured as political parties might be too restrictive for now (think of the Ukrainian Pirates).
A technical issue on the proposal is the location of the amendment with respects to the current version of the Statutes: Article 6 is not named “Rights and Obligation”.
