Film Screening: Change My Mind (1 October 18:00 European Parlimanet, Brussels)

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

I am pleased to invite you to an exclusive screening of Change My Mind, a documentary road movie directed by Robin Kvapil, which combines investigative journalism with dark humour to explore the stark realities of war.

The film follows a provocative journey—from the relative safety of the Czech Republic to the war-torn regions of Kharkiv and Donbas—where three self-described sceptics of the war in Ukraine, all supporters of Putin’s narrative, confront the conflict firsthand.

Date and Time: 1 October 2025, 18:00 Location: PHS Building, Room 7C50

The project began with a public challenge: “Do you believe the war in Ukraine is fabricated? That reports of casualties and destruction are exaggerated? Join our casting and become part of this documentary.”

In October 2024, the film crew travelled to the heart of the war zone with three participants who doubted the war’s severity. The documentary captures their reactions as they experience.

Following the film, there will be an open discussion with the director and crew, offering an opportunity to engage with the filmmakers and explore the ethical and journalistic challenges behind the project.
