European Pirates Instituted Council, June 2025

Hello, everyone!

Here is a short overview of what has happened on the annual European Pirates Instituted Council.

Proposals of an overhaul of the current statutes have been proposed, however, none have been passed and instead a statutory committee has been established to confront the problem of the overhaul and present a proposal of new statutory documents. Nevertheless, an amendment of the current statutes have been passed, that being the age limit has been raised from 29 years old to 34 years old for the candidacy to the Board.

Memberships of two member organisations have been suspended. Those are Junge Piraten from Germany and Ungir Piratar from Iceland.

As on every annual EPIC, a new Board has been elected comprised of 6 board members:

Samuel Enenkl, President, Mladé Pirátstvo
Maija Li Raudaskoski, Secretary General, Pirattinuoret
Eliott-Spencer Loki Hjaltalín, Treasurer, Ungír Píratar
Vid Bukovec, General Board member, Mladi Pirati
Max Werner, General Board member, Ung Pirat
Matej Hans Ahačič, General Board member, Mladi Pirati

Two auditors have been also elected. Those being Gabriel Karlsson from Ung Pirat and Matjaž Vuherer from Mladi Pirati.

The budgets, annual review and the action plan have been approved on this meeting.
