European Pirate Academy (September to November 2025 - online and Brussels)

Are you passionate about European policy and security? Don’t miss the chance to participate in the Pirate Academy, running from September to November 2025. Thirty selected candidates will take part in online sessions focused on key challenges and problem areas, where they will gain a deeper understanding of how European institutions function. Ten of them will have the unique opportunity to experience the process firsthand in Brussels in winter 2025, alongside MEP Markéta Gregorová. The entire course is hosted by MEP Gregorová and her political group, the Greens/EFA.

Here is an interview with one of the organizers, to hopefully clarify any questions you might have.

Have we? To be honest the only way I heard about this was because I manually went to the PPEU website.
Was there a newsletter, or will one follow? Was this posted on SocialMedia(shared in #social-media:piratenpartei.de) or the News Kombüse(Matrix/Telegram #News-Kombuese:piratenpartei.de)(edit: I think it wasnt, I just shared it there)?

Also @Mab just curious but why does registration take place with a Google Form? Are we riquired by the Greens/EFA? If not or in any case, I kindly suggest to press for another more privacy friendly method next time, maybe adding a small disclaimer somewhere why it is this way if we cant use something else.

The Pirate Academy is organized by Markéta Gregorovas team in the European Parliament. I don’t know why they use Google forms, but it is not a requirement from the Greens/EFA, and I am sure that they would be happy to use another option if it was suggested to them. I can see if I can mention it to them when I talk with them after the summer, or you can contact them directly by emailing pirateacademyeu@proton.me
