Dear European Pirates, dear Delegates,
I am honoured and delighted to serve the movement, and grateful for your trust.
The past year has been dedicated to stabilisation and building a clear plan. The main milestone of this has been the development of the Secretariat. I am extremely grateful to the current Board and Mab as Secretary General, in their trust, advice and support.
The waters ahead will probably be rough, given the situation in which we find ourselves as Europeans and, sadly, even inside our own national turmoils.
Next term, as outlined in the presented action plan, the objective would be to strengthen our capacity through the continuation of the work on the Secretariat.
This will serve as the foundation to develop and ramp up our activities, in communication, policy support, fundraising, and coordination.
With the Secretariat taking on tasks previously fulfilled by the Board, the latter will be able to redeploy its efforts.
Streamlining our structure and using closer cooperation with members and stakeholders, our objective will be to grow and coordinate the network to lay out the foundation of the next election cycle.
Let’s make sure the pirates can coordinate a story and vision for Europe, and we support each other in our national challenges. The fight for a free, cooperative and prosperous Europe will continue to guide us!
