can we please make something about the amount of spam which goes to board e-mail? For that reason, I did not link my board e-mail to my personal and I go there manually, but the % of spam in comparison with actual useful stuff is crazy…
Just curious if we have some spam filter, or those e-mail just go around spam filters.
I’m guessing the board email is listed publicly in a couple of places. Migadu (our email host) has a spam filter on, I’ll make it a bit more aggressive for the board address.
If it’s a bunch of unique domains etc. that are spamming please let me know and I’ll manually blacklist them as well.
A lot of them are spoofing, afaik. I don’t know if our filters are aggressive on DMARC, SPF, and DKIM?
I’m not sure how the filters are exactly configured, its not really visible in the Migadu, I’ll try to do some tweaking.
Can you let me know how many messages we are talking about? My visibility into mailboxes is obviously limited, but I see some general domain-wide statistics and I see less than 20 incoming messages on the whole domain in the last 2 weeks. I don’t imagine that all of that is spam that goes to the board?
I can count 20 spams, from Jul 19 to Aug 20. I can send them through an IT ticket in a compressed folder so you could inspect them.
